Ok guys, yesterday I played this game from the Soviets 1st mission until its 5th mission. Suddenly the game crashed at the end of the mission (exited to the desktop by itself). It supposed to proceed to the next mission because I already completed the objectives. I tried to restart the game and still the same thing occurred. So I googled around and I found that I am not the only one experiencing it.
There's a crash fix for this game. Something gotta do with the patch. So I downloaded the crash fix and yes it worked successfully. So please feel free to download :).
Oh btw, if you dunno how to apply the patch to the game, just simply copy the files and folders to your game directory after you unzipped it(default dir C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Red Alert 3).

Okay, problem fixed! Thanx for your comment. I didn't realise the problems until today dude. Thanx again. All the links with the button command can't be opened in Internet Explorer. Problems with the code which is not compatible in today's browsers.
I also realised that in Firefox 3, it would open 2 windows/tabs with the same links at the same time. So i guess, it's better for me for not using the download button anymore. Thanx again.

Yes, you need to move all the files out from the Crash Fix folder to your Red Alert directory....or you can also copy all the files in the Crash Fix folder to your Red Alert directory. Copy and replace all the files...
Here to make it easier for you :-
1. Download the Crash_Fix_RA_3.zip
2. Open it with winzip or winrar
3. Extract it to your desktop (there will be a folder called Crash Fix on your desktop)
4. Go inside the folder and you will see this folder >>> Use_THIS-rld-ra3cCRACKFIXcampaign go inside it and you gonna see another folder >>> rld-ra3cFIXcampaign. Go inside it and copy all files and folder (you may leave the Launcher folder behind because it's only an image folder)
5. Paste it in you Red Alert 3 directory (default dir is C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Red Alert 3). A message will appear asking you to replace the files or overwrite it (depends on the OS you use) Choose Yes to replace or overwrite.
6. Open and proceed with you game.
I am not sure whether the patch working on every versions but hell yeah it works for me and few of the downloaders... I haven't tested this patch on Windows 7. So if anyone already tested this patch on Windows 7, you are welcome to share your comment here...

this doesn't work for me. first of all the data file in tme game directory is 6.67Gb so there is no way to over-copy...ant i also try to copy the data directory of the crack to red alert/data/data but doesn't work too...what am i missing

First of all u dont need to recopy or over copy the 6.67gb data files. Just extract the file that you downloaded from my entry and copy the files inside there and paste it in your game directory. A window will appear asking you to confirm that you wanna replace and copy the files to the folder. That's it.
P/s: Make sure it is the Red Alert 3 game not Red Alert 3 Uprising.

ok your problem is quite similar to the problem that we all faced and i also tried to reinstall red alert 3 without the patch. And yes WITHOUT the patch the game will quit to the desktop after the 6th soviet mission, but when i install the patch it works. So i dont really know how to help.
Could you please tell me how did you apply the patch step by step from the 1st step. I'm sure we all can figure how to help you. For your info, as for me i didn't see the error msg. It just quit to desktop.

i uninstall and the install again. download your crack file, copy "clownbolg.ttg" and "lib_art.mab" to game main directory and the files in the data directory to games data directory in which i override ra3_1.0.game file.
but when i continue my previous game (which is the end of the 6. campaign of soviet) games goes to desktop and gives a crash report about "ra3_1.0.game".

it seems like everything was perfect. theres also a file called grass.tga in the crack. dont forget to copy that. if you did everything right, then it suppose to work. im sorry nickfury...i tried my best to help you. give it another try copy all the the files and folders and paste it into the game dir :-

what do I have to do with number 6.

Ok first of all the number 6 file is not important. It is just a keygen. Secondly, when you put the files and folders inside the game directory, did any windows asking you to replace the files appear? If not then you might put it in a wrong directory.
If you put it in a right directory, when you start the game you might see a sexy woman image while loading a mission...
I already gave the steps on how to apply this patch to your game. Read the rest of the comments :). Btw thanx a lot for the comments guys...

When you installed the crash fix into your game directory, you must play without the disc or with the disc. Or doesnt matter.
I think you dont need the disc. I played without the disc. However, I'm not quite sure about this, answers are welcome.

Anonymous 1: For your info, some of us downloaded this game, therefore i think no discs are required, but if the game require the disc, it will ask for it. If you're not sure whether your computer use the disc for this game, just see the blinking LED on you cd/dvd drive.
Anonymous 2: Please take a look at those previous comments. One anonymous user commented that this fix is only for version 1.0. I think yours is 1.1.

You can always download it from the 1st link I posted in my entry. It is from freedrive. Click the download text or the arrow to download. You can also download it from my 2nd link which is from hotlinkfiles. However hotlinkfiles often down. Just use the first link to avoid downloading problems.

Aintnogood: Yes you may apply the patch to the downloaded RA3. You have to copy the patch and apply it and you're done.
Anonymous: Can you play the game before applying this patch? Or you cannot play the game at all. It seems to me that the problem occurred because of the installation directory. If you still experiencing the same problem, please google and download the file. If the problem still persist then you have to place the game directory under program files..

I've had no problems with the Soviet Campaign. It went smoothly.However, I can't start with both the Allies and Sun campaigns right at the beginning. It just crashes to desktop. I've already tried several fixes but they don't work. Even this one.

Potekk: For your info, this fix is only for users who have problems with the 6th mission. The game will crash and exit to the desktop before it start the 6th mission. Therefore, while applying this patch the problems can be solved.

Ok, I had the issue, then i applied the patch, and still had the issue. Then i did a little research and found out my laptop has an onboard intel graphics card and an nvidia ge force. I ended all the processes related to intel graphics, set the nvidia to high performance and the game now works. But for some strange reason, the sound doesnt work! FML

Thanks a lot. When it crashed in the Soviet mission I switched to playing Allies, which also crashed in the same way after a few missions. Fix works fine

Not sure if anyone will reply but after i installed the game it worked up until mission 6, I installed the patch and i think it's worked because the splash screen has changed and it asked me to replace the files but whenever i go to start the game it asks me for a registration code and whenever i type one in using keygen or one found online it doesn't accept it

I just downloaded ra3 rip by skullptura and i am yet to play campaign. in case i experience crashes too, i will surely download this. so advance thanks for that :) btw. the first time i installed ra3, a window asked me to update the current patch so i did it, but then after the patch, the game was asking me for a registration code. do you have solution for this? do you have separate links only for those important patches like those concerning balance and maps. cos i don't find other patches necessary. do you have a solution for this? thanks :)

AWESOME DUDE IT WORKSSSS! I just thought of playing the campaign after I reinstalled RA3 on my laptop then it ended up in the desktop again, and that was why I uninstalled it before. And finally I can finish the mini campaign. Btw, for those who doesn't like to see the sexy lady, (who doesn't? I like the original splash better.) don't include 'Launcher' when you are copying the patch. :D

Have u tried reinstalling the game? Try to install it in another computer and if the same problem still persist...i think u might need a new installer.
Btw don't forget to copy the save games from your computer. Otherwise u have to play it back all over again.

or does it work for multiplayer lan games to?
is there an other patch for big fights as well, everytime we play an 6 players map (2 on lan vs 4 brutal) the game runs verry slow..
we both got an i7 intel core computers with amd 7980 video cards
8 gb memory
In the begin of the game it runs fine but when we got a lot of units the game laggs..
sometimes it even crashes to windows
i got the feeling that redalert3 dont use the power of the pc's
that it can only use 1gb of memory or something
i have allready tryed to change the settings in game to medium and low, non of it fixed the problem
even tryed antialias and verticalsinc, won't help

It seems to work fine for me. I used to get exit-to-windows crash after the Krukov mission (6th?) but now, as I type this, I have progressed to the 8th mission after I use your patch. Hopefully it will work for all the campaigns.

mate same problem, but fixable, just copy the files separeted, dont copy the data folder copy the files in it and past them e the data folder of your game and the rest of the files siply copy them :) hope i helped.. by the way very nice job uploader it realy works just fine :)
